A little about myself... My name is Suzanne & I am a French Canadian transplant to BC. Soon after moving here, I found myself really missing a good, authentic Quebec poutine. The kind I grew up with.
I realized the best way for me to have such a poutine without travelling back east would be to make it make it myself. So, if I was going to do that, why not share it with everyone? The idea of Chez Joe Poutine was born. It took 10 years to be able to make it happen, but on November 25, 2017, Chez Joe Poutine opened its doors.
Having worked as a server for thirty years, I have seen the changes in guests’ dietary requirements as well as the rise in food allergies. When I opened Chez Joe, I wanted as many people as possible to be able to eat here with as much choice as possible. I set out to create a menu that was as ‘inclusive’ as possible.
After much research and sourcing ingredients, the results have been better than I had first expected! I am very proud to say that we offer a wide selection of gluten free, vegan/dairy free and vegetarian choices.
Whether you’re curious about this creation called poutine, or you’re jonesing for the real deal, I’m sure you will find something on our menu to satisfy your taste buds.
